The perfect base foryour Cornwalladventure!

Oozing charm and character!

Welcome to our website for Bake Cottage.  If you are looking for a wonderful holiday home as a base to explore the South Cornish Coast and beyond, we are sure you’ll fall in love with the accommodation.

Bake Cottage is the part of a three-cottage terrace.  The terrace was originally one house and is over 200 years old.  It’s grade two listed.  With its historic thick walls, wide windowsill & beamed ceiling Bake Cottage is warm and welcoming.  And as the third cottage in the terrace, it’s at the rear, making it the most private and peaceful. You can look at more photos of the cottage on our ‘the cottage’ page.

The cottage has gas central heating throughout and a gas log burner fire in the lounge.  If you fancy a relaxing night in there’s a sky entertainment package and, of course, the cottage has WiFi.

Also downstairs you’ll find a lovely kitchen kitchen /diner with gas cooker, a microwave and fridge freezer.  Plus there’s a washing machine for any emergency holiday needs.

Upstairs are the bedrooms; the large comfortable double has a TV and the other is equipped with bunk beds.   The bathroom has shower facilities and of course we provide all towels and bedding for you.   If you have a little one with you we can provide a travel cot and highchair.

Outside is a small courtyard with table and chairs, perfect for eating at or for a glass of wine in the summer.

We own a reserved car parking space for you just a few minutes away, in the main car park.  And to make it easier for arriving and leaving, there’s a loading bay right next to the cottage.

The cottage is a stone’s throw from West Looe Quay.  It’s two minutes to general store and pub.  See more on our ‘the area’ page.

If you have any questions, we’d be delighted to help.  Contact Us or chat with us on our Facebook page.  Or, if you want to check availability, hop on over to our AirBnB page, where you can make a booking.

The cottage was warm and welcoming on arrival. Well designed to fit in everything needed and very clean, fresh and cosy. Lovely view from main bedroom window across to the Quay. The street is very quiet and rises steeply beyond the cottage. A few steps away is a local store selling everything from papers to warmed pasties. Towards the quay is the Jolly Roger pub, again friendly and serves good meals and then a small Spar, so well served!

We arrived at the cottage on a cold and damp November afternoon, and were so pleased to find the heating had been left on for us, and a welcome bottle of wine on the table. The cottage was spotlessly clean from top to bottom. Sky TV, and a strong WiFi connection, were an added bonus. All in all very cozy and welcoming place to spend time in Looe. There are two small convenience stores, and a warm and friendly pub all within a two minute walk from the cottage.
